We're recruiting for a skilled and experienced Door Engineer to join a leading service and installation team covering the Central Belt of Scotland. The role involves working on a variety of industrial and commercial door systems including roller shutters, sectional overhead doors, fire doors, and steel security doors.

This is a field-based role offering a mix of planned maintenance, reactive repairs, and new installations across commercial and industrial sites. The position would suit someone with a strong mechanical background, experience in industrial doors, and the ability to work independently to a high standard of safety and workmanship.

Door Engineer Job Overview

Service, repair, and install industrial and commercial doors (e.g., roller shutters, sectional doors, fire doors)
Carry out routine maintenance and respond to emergency breakdowns
Complete job sheets and ensure all work is carried out safely and professionally

Door Engineer Job Requirements

Proven experience working as a Door Engineer (industrial/commercial doors)
Strong mechanical skills, with diagnostic and fault-finding ability
Valid UK driving licence (essential)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively
CSCS, IPAF, or relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential

Door Engineer Salary & Benefits

£17.00 - £18.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Door-to-door pay
Average 40-50 hours per week
Time and a half after 4:30pm
Double time on weekends
Company vehicle and fuel card
Uniform, tools, and PPE provided
