Our long-standing client, specializing in automation and manufacturing, requires a commissioning engineer to join their team in the Gainsborough area.

You will be providing field service support for the equipment supplied around the world. You will be conducting installations, commissioning, training and fault finding on the range of equipment supplied.

This role requires you to travel to different sites across the UK and overseas, sometimes staying away for a few nights or a number of weeks.

Responsibilities

Understanding and experience of fault diagnoses on packaging machines covering electrical and mechanical.

Working on a range of PLC and motion control systems

Checkout and trial machinery

Installation and commissioning of the full range of equipment supplied.

Promoting sales to clients of upgrades, spare parts and selling more machinery.

Skills

Being able to do fault diagnostics using PLC logic.

Be able to read blueprints and schematics.

Computer literate and very comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Written and verbal communication skills with a high level of customer service

History of working to deadlines and meeting those objectives.

Flexible approach to work.

Experience

At least 5 years' experience in a similar role.

You will only be considered for the role if you have experience of field service repair and maintenance within the manufacturing and automation industry.

The salary would be £40,000 per year plus overtime.

The hours would be 39 hours per week, when site based and not travelling
