About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged with pre-planned work left by the class teacher.This is a great role for those considering a future in teaching, as it allows you to build confidence, develop classroom management skills, and gain valuable experience across a range of subjects.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials to classes in the teacher's absence* Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment* Support pupils with tasks, encouraging participation and focus* Communicate effectively with staff to ensure smooth lesson transitions* Follow school behaviour and safeguarding policies at all times

Candidate Requirements

? A degree or equivalent qualification (essential)? Strong classroom presence and confident behaviour management? Excellent communication and organisational skills? Ability to build positive relationships with secondary pupils? Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
