SEMH Teaching Assistant - Norwich

We're seeking resilient, self-assured SEMH Teaching Assistants to support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs in specialist schools across Norwich and the northern outskirts of the city.

Working with young people from Year 1 to Year 11, you'll play a vital part in delivering personalised education programmes outside of mainstream settings. Every day, you'll help create the structure, consistency, and encouragement they need to succeed — both academically and personally.

What you'll be doing:

Supporting pupils with complex learning and behavioural needs

Managing behaviour with calmness, confidence, and consistency

Building strong, respectful, and trusting relationships

Adapting quickly and thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

What you'll need:

A resilient, proactive mindset

Confidence in managing challenging behaviour

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
