Learning Support Assistant (Intervention Specialist)

The role
This full-time, term-time position begins in September 2025 and is perfect for someone with experience or ambition to work in targeted academic interventions across Key Stages 3-5, while also supporting the wider school community.

Key responsibilities
• Plan and deliver small group or 1:1 academic interventions in core subjects (English, maths, science)
• Track and report on student progress, adapting sessions based on individual needs
• Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to identify and address learning gaps
• Provide in-class support when needed, ensuring students remain engaged and supported

Ideal candidate
• Previous experience in an intervention or learning support role
• Strong academic background and confidence delivering subject content up to KS4/5
• Passion for education and personalised learning
• A calm, proactive, and flexible approach to working with students of varying needs
