About the Role

Simply Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and adaptable KS1 Supply Teacher to work full-time in primary schools across East Kent starting from September 2025. This role is ideal for qualified teachers with a passion for Key Stage 1 who are confident delivering lessons in a variety of school settings.

You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher. There is no planning or marking required, though expectations may vary based on the length of the role and school-specific needs.

Key Responsibilities

Teach pre-set lessons in Key Stage 1 (Year 1 and Year 2)
Foster a supportive and engaging classroom environment
Use strong behaviour management techniques to maintain learning standards
Adapt quickly to the expectations of different schools
Follow all safeguarding and school policies

What We're Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
Experience teaching in KS1 classrooms
Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
Confident, flexible, and proactive approach
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Full commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
