Questech are recruiting on behalf of our client in Pontefract, West Yorkshire for an experienced Technical Project Manager.

The Person:

* Experience of working within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be an advantage;

* Good technical background & understanding of technical terminology;

* Experience of project management;

* Formal project management qualification is desirable;

* An eye for numbers, data management and keeping track of figures and outputs;

* Knowledge of MS office applications is essential;

* A flexible approach is required with the ability to multi task and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously;

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence internal and external customers/contractors at all levels

* Demonstrates strong analytical ability and attention to detail;

* Presentation skills;

* Knowledge of ERP systems.

The Role:

* Manage designated projects from conception to delivery;

* Continually identifying, prioritising and mitigating projects risks and issues;

* Managing project costs and budget including cost-saving measures;

* Leading project meetings, assigning responsibility & adjustments;

* Translation of requirements into a delivery plan;

* Facilitate the writing of a business case (if required);

* Lead on New Product Development (NPD), liaising with key internal stakeholders & customers;

* Lead the sampling processes;

* Liaising with multi-disciplinary parts of the business and customer;

* Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured;

* Communicating with key stakeholders to continuously define project objectives ensuring engagement;

* Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate employees on the progress of the project;

* Writing reports to senior management to update on the status of projects;

* Negotiating with contractors and suppliers;

* Ensure the duties are carried out in accordance with current health and safety regulations;

* Undertaking other duties as requested by the Departmental manager, or other company managers.

This role is working Monday to Friday - 08:30am - 17:00pm.

The salary is £39,000pa - £42,000pa (The salary is negotiable for the right candidate)
