Are you an experienced food procurement professional looking for a highly autonomous remote role where you can make a genuine commercial impact across multiple categories?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing and innovative food business expanding its presence within UK retail. Operating in a fully remote capacity with strong central support, you'll take ownership of supplier strategy, commercial negotiations, and sourcing activity across a diverse product portfolio. The role offers real autonomy, strategic influence, and the chance to help shape future growth.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Developing and maintaining strong long-term relationships with existing and new suppliers across the UK, Europe, and global markets
• Evaluating supplier offers, comparing proposals, and negotiating best value agreements to ensure cost-effective and sustainable supply
• Leading contract negotiations and establishing strategic supplier partnerships
• Working closely with NPD and Technical teams to support new product launches, category planning, and supply solutions
• Monitoring market trends, commodity movements, and supply chain developments to identify risks and opportunities
• Sourcing new products, ingredients, and suppliers to support commercial growth plans
• Managing supplier performance, service levels, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Supporting cost-saving programmes while maintaining quality and service standards
• Building effective internal relationships across commercial, technical, operations, and development teams
• Ensuring supply continuity and resolving any sourcing challenges proactively

What's required?

• Relevant degree or equivalent commercial qualification
• Minimum 10 years' procurement experience within the food industry
• Proven track record of supplier negotiation and commercial success
• Established supplier network and strong market knowledge within food categories
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to work strategically and operationally
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and numerical ability with advanced Excel skills
• Understanding of manufacturing and production processes
• Highly organised, adaptable, and self-motivated approach
• Fluent English; additional European language beneficial
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally
• Strong IT literacy
