Intro

A leading industrial organisation is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support the safe, reliable operation of a busy gas storage and processing facility. This role focuses on mechanical maintenance, fault-finding and ensuring plant availability across rotating equipment and associated systems.

The Role

* Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on pumps, valves, motors, compressors and associated plant

* Routine servicing in line with manufacturer and site maintenance requirements

* Supporting maintenance activities on gas compressors and turbines to minimise downtime

* Carrying out equipment isolations and permit-controlled work

* Updating CMMS work orders and maintenance records

* Assisting with installation and commissioning of new equipment

* Working alongside specialist vendors and supervising contractors on site

* Supporting out-of-hours call-outs where required (paid at enhanced rates)

* Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and site safety

What You'll Need

* Strong mechanical maintenance background in a heavy process environment - power, chemical, steel, paper. Marine Engineers from the Navy are also considered

* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, with a completed mechanical apprenticeship

* Experience in an industrial, heavy process or marine engineering background

* Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team

* Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills

* Mechanical ATEX / PUWER experience would be advantageous
