Job Title: Mechanical Fitter/Welder

Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum

We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters/Welders to join our team. The successful candidates will work primarily on commercial heating and ventilation installations, with opportunities to run jobs independently as part of a small, professional team. This is a hands-on, client-facing role suited to individuals with a solid background in heating and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Installation of commercial heating, plumbing, and chilled water systems
*
Plant room and boiler house installations
*
Welding (Arc and Gas)
*
Work with a variety of fitting types including Press Fit, Victaulic, Screwed, Brazed, Soldered, and Welded systems
*
Material handling and installation with MI Steel, Stainless Steel, Galvanised Steel, Copper, etc.
*
Understand and interpret plumbing and heating system designs
*
Lead small jobs and work off your own initiative
*
Ensure a high standard of workmanship and safety onsite
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
*
Qualified Heating Engineer/Pipefitter (Senior Craftsman desirable)
*
Experience working on steam systems (advantageous but not essential)
*
Gas certification and experience with testing and purging (advantageous)
*
Comfortable in client-facing environments
*
Strong teamwork and communication skills

Overtime available year-round

Primarily day shift work, with occasional night shifts required
*
Mostly based in the Central Belt, but occasional work away from home may be required
*
This is an on-site role - no bench fabricators required
