We’re working with a growing specialist insurance organisation seeking an experienced Business Development & Client Manager to strengthen its presence across key niche markets.

This role can be based anywhere in the UK.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in business development, client relationship management, and specialist insurance lines to step into a role that offers real variety, client exposure, and the chance to shape growth strategies.

The Role

As Business Development & Client Manager, you will:

• Drive new business opportunities across Construction, Engineering, Plant Machinery, Casualty, Agriculture, Sports, and Media Entertainment sectors.
• Build long-term partnerships with Brokers, Insurers, MGAs, and other industry stakeholders.
• Act as the main point of contact for key clients, ensuring high-quality service and bespoke claims handling solutions.
• Lead tenders, proposals, and client pitches to win new accounts.
• Stay on top of sector-specific risks, regulations, and market trends to provide commercial insight.
• Support marketing and thought-leadership initiatives in specialist insurance lines.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years+ experience in business development and/or client management within insurance, claims handling, or specialist lines.
• Strong sector knowledge (construction, engineering, casualty, or similar).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• A consultative approach and the ability to build trust with senior decision-makers.
• Professional qualifications such as CII/CILA are advantageous.
