The Role & About the Client:

ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of a reputable main contractor for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team based in Sittingbourne. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well-established business delivering high-quality commercial and residential projects across the South East.

As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical packages, working closely with the wider estimating and design teams. The role demands strong analytical ability, a detail-oriented mindset, and a solid understanding of electrical systems within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

Prepare detailed electrical estimates for building services and infrastructure projects

*

Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation

*

Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing

*

Evaluate and manage risk throughout the tender process

*

Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities

*

Support the bid team with timely and accurate submissions

*

Attend client and site meetings as required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have/Be:

*

Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within construction or building services

*

Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and building regulations

*

Excellent numerical and IT skills, with experience using estimating software

*

Commercially aware with strong attention to detail

*

Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet tight deadlines

*

Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or a related field
