About the Role:
I'm working on behalf of a reputable and well-established Groundworks and Civil Engineering contractor based in Gloucestershire that is looking to add an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to its growing commercial team. With a strong pipeline of projects across the residential, commercial, and infrastructure sectors, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their QS career within a stable and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tenders

*

Supporting subcontractor procurement and management

*

Measuring and valuing works on-site for interim and final accounts

*

Assisting with cost reporting, forecasting, and budget management

*

Working closely with site teams to ensure contractual and financial accuracy

*

Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain strong working relationships

What My Client Is Looking For:

*

Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or related field (or working towards it)

*

Some industry experience in a QS or related role - this could include a placement year

*

Good understanding of construction practices, ideally in groundworks or civil engineering

*

Strong numerical and IT skills

*

Excellent communication and a willingness to learn

*

A full UK driving licence is essential
