Empowering Learning are recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in the Wythenshawe area of Manchester. This is a full-time position supporting children with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop key skills, and feel confident in the classroom.

The school is well-resourced, inclusive, and committed to providing the very best support for pupils with SEND. You will be working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, providing both 1:1 and small group support, depending on the needs of the children.

About the Role:

Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties

Delivering tailored support to help children engage with learning

Using positive behaviour strategies and building strong, supportive relationships

Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff

Contributing to an inclusive, nurturing learning environment

Helping children develop confidence, independence, and emotional well-being

About You:

Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting

A calm, patient and compassionate approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to adapt support to meet individual pupil needs

A genuine passion for helping children succeed
