Our client, a Greater Manchester council is seeking a Children's Social Worker to join their Safeguarding Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
- Work directly with children, young people, families and carers to support informed decision-making, clarify needs and contribute to service planning.
- Identify, assess and manage safeguarding risks, including investigating concerns of neglect, abuse or ill-treatment and arranging accommodation where required.
- Act as Lead Professional for children subject to statutory intervention, undertaking assessment, planning, review and permanence planning with the child at the centre.
- Apply critical reflection, analysis, professional judgement and authority to intervene appropriately to promote independence, prevent harm and protect children.
- Manage a complex caseload, maintaining statutory responsibilities including case recording, reports, chronologies and providing evidence in court proceedings.
- Work effectively within multi-agency and inter-professional partnerships to support assessment, care planning and protection.
- Uphold professional values, ethical practice, anti-discriminatory principles and corporate parenting responsibilities, while contributing to performance standards and continuous improvement.
- Support the professional development of others through supervision, mentoring and leadership, and promote health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace.
Requirements of this role:
- Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
- Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience
