Our client, a leading manufacturer in the defence sector, is currently seeking an experienced IPC Wiring Technician to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled wiring professional with strong attention to detail and a passion for quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assemble and install cable harnesses and wire assemblies to IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards
* Read and interpret complex wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings
* Perform crimping, stripping, soldering, lacing, and tinning
* Carry out continuity checks and functional testing using test meters
* Maintain high standards of workmanship and follow ESD-safe practices
* Accurately complete production and inspection documentation
* Work collaboratively with quality and engineering teams to resolve build issues
Candidate Requirements:
* IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification
* Proven experience in wiring, cable assembly, or harness building
* Ability to work from engineering drawings and build instructions
* Excellent hand skills and attention to detail
* Knowledge of ESD safety and cleanroom procedures
* Previous experience in aerospace, defence, or medical sectors is a plus
