Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting a confident and motivated Upper Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant for a vibrant primary school in Horwich, Bolton. This full-time role primarily supports a Year 5 class, with additional help across Year 6 as pupils prepare for transition to secondary school.

This position requires someone capable of supporting more advanced literacy and numeracy skills, as well as providing structured intervention support.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Year 5 class during whole-class teaching.

Deliver small-group interventions in reading, writing, and maths.

Assist targeted pupils working towards age-related expectations.

Help prepare learning resources, worksheets, and displays.

Support SATs-style tasks and revision activities in Upper KS2.

Promote positive behaviour and engagement.

Provide one-to-one support where needed.

Encourage independence, resilience, and growth mindset.

Ideal Candidate:

Experience in Key Stage 2, especially Years 5 or 6.

Strong literacy and numeracy skills.

Confident leading small groups and supporting varied abilities.

Good behaviour-management skills.

Organised, proactive, and eager to support older primary learners.
