Company: ZEST EDUCATION

Job Type: Temporary, Full Time

Salary: £90 - £120/day

Are you ready to step into a meaningful role this September where you can build consistency, trust, and impact? A well-regarded secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a committed and proactive Cover Supervisor to join their team on a long-term basis starting at the beginning of the autumn term.

This is an exciting opportunity to become a familiar and valued presence within a supportive school community — guiding students across various subjects and year groups, while gaining in-depth, hands-on experience in the classroom.

About the Role

This long-term cover position runs from September through at least the end of the term, with the possibility of extension or permanent placement. As a Cover Supervisor, you'll take on a central role in maintaining classroom continuity and supporting student progress when teachers are absent.

You will:

* Deliver pre-prepared lessons across different subjects, ensuring continuity of learning.

* Establish a consistent presence with pupils, contributing to a stable learning environment.

* Use strong classroom management strategies to uphold behaviour standards and engagement.

* Work closely with the school's teaching and pastoral teams to support students academically and emotionally.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking someone reliable, confident, and eager to make a difference over time — not just for a day. You'll need strong communication skills, resilience, and a passion for helping young people succeed.

This role is ideal for:

* Recent graduates considering teacher training in the future

* Experienced Cover Supervisors or Teaching Assistants ready to step up

* Youth workers, coaches, or professionals with classroom or group leadership experience

* Anyone who thrives in structured, purposeful environments and wants to invest in student progress

Your Strengths

* Confident managing a classroom independently

* Adaptable across subjects and key stages (Years 7-11)

* Strong communicator, professional and personable

* Skilled in managing behaviour positively and consistently

* Able to commit to a full-time, term-based role

Why This Role?

Long-term placement: Build trust and rapport with students and staff

£90-£120 per day: Paid weekly, based on your experience

Structured school routine: Gain valuable experience in a consistent timetable

No marking or planning: Focus purely on delivery and student engagement

Support from the school and agency: Induction, mentoring, and regular check-in

Route into teacher training : Ideal foundation for a future in education

The school offers a modern, well-resourced environment with clear behaviour policies, strong leadership, and a collaborative staff culture. You'll be a vital part of their team, helping ensure every student receives the support and consistency they need to thrive.
