A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-established SEN school in Preston. This is a full-time position starting in September, working Monday to Friday during term time.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and sensory or physical needs. You will help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Providing 1:1 and small group support

Assisting with classroom activities and behaviour management

Helping to implement education and care plans

Supporting students with personal development and, where required, personal care

Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

Who We're Looking For:

We welcome applications from individuals with a variety of backgrounds, including:

Previous experience as a Care Worker, Teaching Assistant, or Support Worker

Personal experience supporting someone with SEN

The ideal candidate will be:

Resilient and able to manage challenging behaviour

Proactive, with a hands-on approach to supporting learning and wellbeing

A strong team player with a calm and compassionate nature

Passionate about helping children achieve their full potential
