About the role:
As part of the EV Commercial Team, the Commercial Lead will manage commercial performance of the EV
Business across bids and proposals, through to delivery of complex projects and
services to deliver optimum opportunity and margin to the EV Business, while
supporting the systematic identification and management of risk;
- Deliver high quality support on bids and project/service delivery including tangible margin achievement and improvement plus risk management score reductions
- Effective reports delivered including dashboard and systems configured to best support the business for on-project budgeting, forecasting, costing and pricing to aid accurate decision making and margin maximisation.
- Successful contract negotiations and administration delivered across customers and supply chain, ensuring adherence to legal and commercial requirements and best position for the business.
- Managed variations, valuations, and final accounts to maximise project value and margin.
- Ensured all commercial activities delivered in accordance with industry standards, company policies, and legal requirements.
- Continuously improved commercial processes and cost management strategies.
Who we’re looking for:
To be successful in this role you’ll
ideally have…
- Degree
level or equivalent in relevant discipline (eg Quantity Surveying,
Contract Management, Legal, Finance or Accounting)
- Proven experience in commercial
management within a relevant sector (eg. Energy, Construction, M&E,
Facilities Management, Complex Project or Service Delivery)
- Strong knowledge of contract management,
cost control, and financial reporting
- Experience working with standard contract
forms such as NEC, JCT, or equivalent
- Good communication skills with the
ability to interact with, motivate, influence, and challenge a wide range
of internal and external stakeholders. Build resilient relationships with
senior stakeholders and decision makers beyond own Team / business.
