The role
We are seeking an Accounts Executive to manage financial transactions, maintain accurate financial records, and support the overall accounting function of the London Spine Clinic which comprises 10 consultants and therapists and is based within The London Clinic.
The role involves preparing financial reports, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Working closely with finance teams and management, the Accounts Executive will help monitor cash flow, ensure timely payments and collections, and assist with month-end accounts to support the financial health of the organisation. Previous experience within a private healthcare environment is highly desirable.

Key Duties
- Manage the day-to-day clinic billing
- Manage and effectively bill for theatre procedures
- Reconcile bank accounts daily
- Efficiently communicate with external sponsors to ensure a smooth payment service
- Complete end of month accounts for all 10 consultants/ therapists in a timely manner to ensure payment is made on time
- Authorise any referrals to the debt collection company when required
- Assist with debt recovery activities to minimise any outstanding payments
- Act as a primary point of contact for any ongoing disputes
- Continuously reviewing processes to maximise our efficiency and workflow
- To maintain a robust approach to data quality and patient confidentiality
- To be familiar with medical terminology
- Liaise with internal finance and other hospital departments
- General administrative duties and process, utilising databases and IT systems
- Communicate professionally with patients to resolve billing queries
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience within a private healthcare setting
- Experience in a finance/accounts role
- Understanding of invoicing within healthcare setting
- Ability to work effectively with people from a range of diverse backgrounds, as well as a range of healthcare professionals.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management
- Able to work on own initiative
- Able to handle patient data and information in a confidential and sensitive fashion
- Ability to identify a problem and solve it to avoid escalation
