A leading M&E contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the electrical package on the construction of a landmark new theatre at the heart of the £1.3 billion Olympia redevelopment in West London.

The Olympia Theatre will be a five-storey, 1,575-seat venue designed by Haworth Tompkins Architects and operated by Trafalgar Entertainment. With a stacked auditorium, fully glazed foyer spaces, and cutting-edge performance infrastructure, the theatre is a flagship cultural destination within the wider development—scheduled to open in late 2025.

This is a technically demanding project requiring precise coordination, strong leadership, and hands-on involvement from early delivery through to commissioning and client handover.

Key responsibilities

*

Manage the electrical package from construction through to final commissioning and handover

*

Coordinate design development, programme tracking, labour forecasting and procurement

*

Oversee subcontractors and ensure all works are completed to specification, safely and on schedule

*

Manage quality control, testing, commissioning and handover documentation

*

Act as main point of contact for the electrical scope—internally and with the client and professional team

*

Maintain clear records of variations, manage cost control, and ensure timely reporting to commercial and senior management teams

*

Lead the coordination of technical systems including power distribution, life safety systems, show infrastructure, controls and back-of-house services

*

Ensure compliance with all statutory and project-specific health and safety requirements

What we're looking for

*

Proven experience delivering high-value electrical packages in complex environments

*

Experience working on theatres, entertainment venues, performance spaces or similar live environments is highly desirable

*

Excellent technical understanding of electrical systems, coordination, and commissioning

*

Commercial awareness and experience managing programme, budgets and change control

*

Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with clients, architects, consultants and trade contractors

Required certifications:

SMSTS

*

CSCS (Black or equivalent)
