Reed Finance is working with an organisation based in East Kilbride to recruit a Finance Manager. Our client, a successful SME based in East Kilbride, is seeking a talented Finance Manager to lead their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional to step into a leadership role and drive financial efficiency within the organisation.

It is mandatory to have previous staff management experience to be considered. Ideally, you will have a background in an SME environment. This is a hands on, varied position that is responsible for the smooth running of the finance team.

The main responsibilities the position entails are:

Oversee and manage daily finance functions including payroll, purchase ledger and credit control
Prepare monthly management accounts with a high level of accuracy
Manage a team of five individuals
Ensure full compliance with HMRC regulations, including CIS, VAT and PAYE reporting
Perform regular Balance Sheet and Intercompany reconciliations
Prepare and update weekly cash flow forecast
Support the preparation of year end accounts
Provide Financial insights and operational support to the Financial Controller
Assist with the development of Mx
Manage fixed assets and accruals and prepayments
Support the preparation of regular and adhoc financial data and variance analysis on a monthly basisTo be considered for the role, you must possess the following experience:

Qualified or qualified by experience accountant
SME background is ideal
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
