We have an opportunity for an experienced Marketing and PR Manager who demonstrates a positive, imaginative and hands-on approach to work. This is an extremely exciting, brand new role that will see you as a significant part of the organisation leading the marketing and PR strategy.

An all-encompassing Marketing and PR role, you will draw on your experience gained within similar roles and be given the opportunity to develop and cultivate strategy and implementation.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

* Develop and implement a high impact and cost-effective marketing strategy

* Ensure the best return on the marketing and communications by tracking effectiveness of campaigns and taking a rigorous approach to budget management

* Develop and ensure a strong brand identity

* Work closely with key local, regional and national tourism agencies

* Create a B2B marketing plan to generate leads for the corporate audience

* Manage promotion of the business through brand building and tactical marketing activity, positioning the café bar and shop respectively to drive footfall

* Work closely with key internal staff to develop strong strategy for ticketed events and a learning provision for schools, groups and individuals

* Establish, develop and launch a new fully operational website

* Oversee and manage the organisation's digital strategy, managing all social media output from the organisation

* Manage all direct communication with customers/visitors

* Representing the organisation, ensure the organisation plays a major role in wider tourism and arts/cultural audience development across Milton Keynes and the region

* Establish and maintain relationship with PR agency, to establish strong and positive relationships with local, regional and national press contacts

* Create a PR strategy and implement effectively

We are looking for someone with:

* Demonstrable experience in a senior marketing/communications role

* Experience within a visitor or heritage attraction and/or working in the tourism industry, including working with box office systems

* Experience of commissioning, developing an effective website and social media engagement

* Able to manage budgets and measure results

* Proactive for ambitious successful business developments and growth

* The ability to recognise and generate positive PR stories, and the ability to competently and effectively manage less positive stories.

* An understanding of delivering commercial activity within the cultural sector

* The ability to implement business development ideas with enthusiasm and an appropriate level of expediency

* Be a team player and be able to work independently of constant direction and support

* Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and face to face.

* Willingness to work outside of 'normal' office hours when required.

* A robust and genuine enjoyment of for the role and the ability to maintain these attributes under pressure.
