Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role is pivotal in supporting the developmental needs of children in our nursery setting, ensuring they receive high-quality early childhood education. The Early Years Educator will work collaboratively with colleagues to create engaging learning experiences that promote children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that stimulate children's curiosity and creativity.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all children, encouraging their individual interests and needs.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development in line with early years frameworks.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and ensure a cohesive approach to each child's learning journey.
  • Manage classroom behaviour positively, promoting respect and cooperation among children.
  • Collaborate with team members to share best practices and enhance the overall quality of care and education provided.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe nursery environment that meets health and safety regulations.

Experience

  • Relevant Level 2 or 3 Qualification- hourly rate dependant on level of qualification
  • Must have a valid Paediatric First Aid Certificate
  • Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
  • A background in early childhood education or related qualifications is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others within the team.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a busy environment.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development through play-based learning experiences.
