Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to join a luxury care home known for its elegant setting, outstanding care, and high-quality hospitality. This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity for a chef with experience in care home or healthcare kitchens, a strong understanding of dietary needs, and a passion for creating delicious, nutritious meals in a warm, resident-focused environment.

What We’re Looking For
- Experienced Sous Chef, ideally from a care home or healthcare catering background
- Exceptional knowledge of allergens, special diets, and texture-modified meals
- Proven ability to run a professional kitchen alongside a Head Chef
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification required (Level 3 preferred)
- A team player with a warm, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for care-focused cuisine

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations
- Prepare high-quality meals tailored to residents’ dietary needs and medical requirements
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and healthcare regulations
- Contribute to seasonal menu planning using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
- Maintain accurate allergen records and uphold excellent food presentation standards
- Mentor and support kitchen staff to ensure consistency and quality
- Work closely with care teams to align mealtimes with residents’ wellbeing plans
