Behaviour Support Assistant - Full-Time

Location: Blackburn, Lancashire

Are you passionate about making a difference in young people's lives? We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Behaviour Support Assistant to join a dynamic and supportive team at a forward-thinking secondary school in Blackburn. This full-time position is available to start immediately after the May half-term.

In this role, you will work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to support students in overcoming barriers to learning, promoting positive behaviour, and helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment. You will be a key part of a proactive strategy to help students succeed both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

Support individual students and small groups with behaviour management strategies.
Build positive, trusting relationships with students, offering consistency and encouragement.
Assist with the implementation of behaviour intervention plans.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to meet the needs of students.
Contribute to a positive and respectful school culture.
Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with young people in an educational or youth work setting.
A calm, patient, and resilient approach to managing behaviour.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A genuine commitment to the well-being and progress of students.
