A well-regarded secondary school in Greenwich is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join their team immediately. This full-time, long-term role will run until the end of the academic year, offering a rewarding opportunity to support students in a dynamic learning environment.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support students, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The role involves providing in-class support, assisting with differentiated learning activities, and promoting student progress and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with a range of learning needs

Support the delivery of tailored learning interventions and individual education plans (IEPs)

Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive, engaging classroom environment

Help manage student behaviour and encourage positive learning habits

Monitor student progress and contribute to assessment and planning discussions

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children in an educational or care setting

A valid DBS registered on the update service

Experience supporting students with SEND is required or highly desirable

Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff

A patient, proactive, and flexible approach to supporting learning
