Salary: £200 - £250/day

My client is looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to work on a high rise PRS scheme in Birmingham City Centre.

You will be responsible for management of logistics on site, 2 gates, deliveries, security logistics, fire checks etc.

This is a long term freelance opportunity, with the potential to go perm for the right candidate.

Site Establishment

Co-ordinate the set-up of temporary site accommodation, welfare facilities and site
Supervising a traffic management plan for the site.
Responsible for coordinating service companies and the provision of live temporary
services to the site compound.
Logistics Management Generally
Delivery scheduling, supply chain interrogation with support from software systems.
Traffic, vehicle & plant movements
Material offloading, and distribution to 'point of use'
Logistics Management Plan - develop, implement and manage; On site material
Waste Management - develop, implement and manage.
To plan, coordinate and implement day-to-day activities to facilitate smooth progression
of a construction project, in line with the construction programme.
Liaise and report to the Project Manager on overall site logistics issues including
programme, deliveries, health & safety, quality and cost issues.
Attend Progress Review meetings as required; Lead and facilitate Delivery Management
weekly meetings
Traffic Management Plan - develop, implement and manage.
Compile and keep up to date site records and site diary.
Plant management in compliance with LOLER, PUWER, Statutory Inspections.
Temporary Services Management, both on site and interface with Utilities.
Temporary Fire Management Plan, develop, implement and record keeping.
Incoming services records, meter readings etc
Material Management
Call off materials from bulk order schedules when required.
Requisition materials not on bulk order schedules, check deliveries, ensure correct
Storage, distribution and waste minimisation.
Completion of material and plant sheets.
Attend meetings with suppliers to discuss progress of the works as necessary.
Labour Management
Promoting a sense of teamwork on site between contractors and operatives.
Completion of weekly time sheets/allocation sheets for agency and direct operatives.
Responsibility for making sure site operatives start work on time and adhere to the
company's break times and working hours.
