About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to join our Faculty of Science and Engineering at ARU Chelmsford. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of our financial operations and make a real impact in a dynamic academic environment.

Duties:

* Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with university regulations.

* Prepare and deliver management reports on budgets and expenditure.

* Act as the first point of contact for finance queries from staff, suppliers, and stakeholders.

* Manage expense claims, petty cash, and credit card administration.

* Support audits and contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes.

Person Specification:

* Experience in a financial environment and strong IT skills (Microsoft Office). Idealy gained from education or a public setting.

* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Knowledge of financial procedures and data protection principles
