Description
The Head of Finance will be joining the business to cover a period of Maternity for an initial 12 months on a FTC basis.
Based in South Wales, the HOF will be responsible for leading and managing the finance function at the business, formulating the departmental strategy and development of the team to ensure that short and long term business objectives are fully realised.
The HOF will engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting while improving standards and process adherence. They will also ensure compliance to regulatory financial and legal requirements.
The role will include, but not limited to;
- Lead the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Sit on the SMT and provide strategic financial guidance to senior stakeholders on a weekly basis.
- Manage and develop the finance team to achieve departmental goals.
- Analyse financial performance and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks effectively.
- Oversee stock control
Profile
A successful Head of Finance should have:
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Strong experience in financial management within the Manufacturing or FMCG sectors.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a finance team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good systems skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Job Offer
- Competitive salary of approximately £80,000 to £90,000 per annum + £7500 cash for car allowance
- Initial 12 months Fixed-term contract with stability and clear expectations.
- 5 days a week on site.
