I am delighted to be working with a global consultancy business, with a global turnover in excess of £1bn and offices in over 30 global locations.

The business is going through a successful growth period and recently posted record global revenues and an all-time share price.

To support it's continued growth, the company is investing in best-in-class software and technologies, leading to growth within it's project management practice.

The company is currently seeking 2 x Technical Project Manager to help shape and drive major technology projects, both locally and globally.

As a Technical Project Manager, you will enjoy end-to-end involvement in projects, significant senior stakeholder engagement, strong career development opportunities and an extremely flexible hybrid working arrangement, with travel to the Glasgow office, as required.

Reporting to the Head of Project Management, the responsibilities of the Technical Project Manager will include:

- Work with the PM Practice Lead, programme and project managers, regions and supporting functions (including IT and Operations) to manage a roadmap of strategic and service improvement projects, outlining key milestones, phases and dependencies

- Bring Project Management best practice thinking and translate it into understandable and actionable plans for delivery with business owners

- Support the design, development, delivery and management of project related communications and training

- Lead the delivery and co-ordination and completion of projects from inception to completion, on time, within scope and oversee all aspects

- Support the development of project scope document and business cases

- Identify and manage the various programme inter-dependencies and interfaces, operating as part of a wider Project Management team and community

- Take a pragmatic approach to driving the efficient and timely completion of multiple projects, working with business leaders to spot project delivery risks and issues, supporting the formulation of practical mitigation strategies and escalating key issues to support timely resolution, while taking appropriate ownership for project outcomes.

- Working with PM Practice Lead, other Programme and Project managers and key stakeholders to allocate resources in the most efficient way

- Act as a champion in the adoption and roll out of agreed methodologies, processes, tools, & resources needed to effectively realise the business benefits of such projects

- Provide support, advice and operate in a consultative manner Analysis, Insight & Reporting

- Establish, maintain and communicate progress of projects throughout their life-cycle via a dashboard that provides insights and reports for the relevant governance steering groups - in particular, highlighting performance against budget, milestones and tracking risks and issues arising

- Identify and define the measures required to track the readiness, impact and benefits of the programmes & projects and monitor progress

- Attend portfolio and project meetings as required Business Transformation

- Focus on embedding a culture of business transformation and the successful delivery of projects, identify issues and initiate appropriate corrective action

- Identify any constraints or threats that may impact the ability of the portfolio to deliver the required business benefits

- Improve the efficiency and effectiveness with which projects are delivered across the organisation

- Promote, instil and develop the use of best-practice project methodologies that best suit the company's culture and ethos

- Gather, analyse and interpret programme adoption data and formulate recommendations Stakeholder Management

- Manage senior level relationships - building and nurturing stakeholder relationships and bridging the gap between the implementation of projects and business operations

- Drive stakeholder engagement/management, communication, planning and execution across all transformational projects

- Support the business leaders in developing their capabilities in maximising employee adoption and minimising resistance to the implementation of projects

- Work closely with the and strategic planning teams to ensure the content and spirit of the strategic plan is being implemented. Help remove barriers to implementation where they exist Governance & Compliance

- Contribute to defining the governance and managing the process for programme & project requests and approvals

- Contribute to Programme and Project management meetings to advise and assist in the delivery of projects - highlighting any risks/issues and mitigation strategies

- Adhere to all relevant company senior executive Board's terms of reference e.g. Talent/Customer & Markets/Operational/Risk & Compliance/Finance

- Demonstrate professional business conduct and maintain the company's reputation, at all times

- Oversee the full project management life-cycle for the successful implementation of all complex, large scale projects from conception through to delivery and benefits realisation

- Manage project dependencies to ensure an aligned, risk-mitigated delivery plan in support of on-time, on-budget project delivery
