Are you a patient, adaptable, and committed Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a specialist school setting?
Supply Desk is delighted to be working with a unique and inclusive school in Maidstone that caters to children with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) across both primary and secondary age groups. This full-time, long-term role offers an excellent opportunity to make a genuine difference in a setting that values teamwork, hard work, inclusivity, and community.

About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with varying needs, including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and complex learning difficulties.
Work with smaller class sizes, allowing for more focused and tailored support.
Support pupils across both primary and secondary key stages, depending on need.
Foster positive relationships and encourage the development of social, emotional, and communication skills.
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff in a highly collaborative team environment.
Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive space where every pupil feels valued and encouraged.
Implement strategies to help pupils regulate behaviour and remain engaged in their learning.
What We're Looking For:

Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly in a 1:1 or small group capacity.
An empathetic, calm, and flexible approach to working with pupils with a range of learning and emotional needs.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and families.
Passion for inclusive education and a belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive.
A current Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
