About the role
Teach Now is seeking a passionate and experienced SEN tutor to join a welcoming secondary school in Three Rivers, Hertfordshire, from September 2025. This full-time, long-term position offers the chance to make a lasting impact by providing personalised academic and emotional support to students with Special Educational Needs.

Key responsibilities
• Deliver 1:1 and small group tuition to students with SEND, including SEMH needs
• Plan and teach lessons aligned with the national curriculum, tailored to individual learning styles
• Collaborate with SENCOs, teachers, and pastoral staff to track progress and adjust support
• Build trusting relationships with pupils who may have struggled in traditional classroom settings
• Foster a safe, motivating environment that encourages confidence and engagement

We're looking for someone who
• Has proven tutoring or teaching experience, ideally in Key Stages 3-5
• Has strong subject knowledge, especially in English, Maths, or Science
• Has experience working with SEND or SEMH pupils (highly desirable)
• Can adapt lessons to suit a range of academic and emotional needs
• Is patient, resilient, and committed to helping young people succeed
