Electrical Shift Engineer - Continental Shifts

Location: Chiswick, London

Salary: £57,000 per annum

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Shift Pattern: Continental (Days and Nights)

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join a critical technical site in Chiswick. This position is ideal for someone with a strong electrical maintenance background, looking to work within a professional and high-performing environment.

Key responsibilities:

Deliver both planned and reactive maintenance across the site, ensuring electrical systems are safe, compliant, and efficient

Provide first-line response for M&E plant including pumps, motors, drives, air handling units, LV switchgear, PLCs, and SCADA systems

Monitor and optimise the performance of building systems, focusing on energy efficiency and continuous improvement

Respond to helpdesk tasks with accurate and timely updates and documentation

Promote and uphold health and safety standards across all activities

Work effectively within the shift team and support the smooth operation of the site

Required qualifications and experience:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation

18th Edition Wiring Regulations

City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Test and Inspection)

Experience working with high voltage systems (AP status or awareness preferred)

Sound knowledge of statutory regulations and maintenance industry practices

Previous experience working on a shift rota within a technical or critical site

IOSH Working Safely or similar health and safety training preferred
