Registered Children's Home Manager - Merseyside

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Children's Home Managerto oversee a Children's Home dedicated to supporting children. This leadership role involves managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a nurturing environment for both staff and residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, experience in program development, and a compassionate approach to working with vulnerable populations. Responsibilities
- Provide effective management and leadership for the children's homes, ensuring high-quality care and support for residents.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate programs tailored to the needs of children with developmental disabilities.
- Supervise staff members, including recruitment, training, performance management, and fostering a positive team environment.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, including safeguarding policies and health & safety standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with families, social workers, external agencies, and community partners.
- Oversee administrative functions such as budgeting, record keeping, and reporting to ensure smooth operation of the home.
- Manage behavioural health interventions and support plans to promote positive outcomes for children.
- Lead crisis intervention efforts when necessary, ensuring safety and well-being of all residents.
- Promote continuous improvement through staff development initiatives and program enhancements.
Requirements:
- Must be a car driver
- Proven management experience within children's residential services.
- Strong background in program development and program management tailored to children with developmental disabilities.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of behavioural health practices relevant to children with special needs (EBD).
- Excellent relationship management skills for working effectively with children, families, staff, and external agencies.
- Administrative experience including budgeting, record keeping, compliance documentation, and report writing.
- Background in social work or related fields is highly desirable.
- The successful candidate must be Ofsted-registered as a Registered Manager, or able to meet the criteria and complete registration within an agreed timeframe
- Ability to handle complex situations with sensitivity and professionalism while maintaining high standards of care.
