• Project Leadership: Guides multi-skilled technical teams, setting expectations, offering feedback, and steering complex projects through clear coordination and communication.

• Project Planning & Delivery: Manages design work from start to finish, keeping tasks on track, juggling deadlines, and ensuring quality and budget targets are met.

• Engineering Design & Development: Carries out advanced design and simulation work, focusing on efficiency, cost, and sustainability; leads testing and refinement of new or updated systems.

• Collaboration: Works closely with internal teams and outside partners to make sure design goals are aligned, practical, and well-executed.

• Technical Documentation: Keeps up with current industry methods, supports the team technically, and maintains accurate records and regular updates for senior leaders.

Lead Design EngineerEssential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• Holds a HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Extensive experience with designing rotating equipment machinery
• Solid experience with project management – leading projects    
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Proficient in CAD ideally SolidWorks
