Accounts Assistant

We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our team. If you have experience in purchase/sales ledger management and enjoy working in a busy environment where attention to detail matters, this could be the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing supplier invoices
  • Maintaining the purchase ledger
  • Reconciling monthly supplier statements and preparing the monthly BACS payment run
  • Producing and sending monthly customer statements
  • Reconciling the daily bank statement
  • Chasing outstanding debtors and maintaining the sales ledger
  • Reconciling monthly petty cash
  • Carrying out general administrative duties as required

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a sales/purchase ledger or accounts role is highly desirable
  • Excellent telephone manner and strong communication skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to spot and resolve discrepancies
  • Confident using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Organised, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure
