Finance Officer

We are seeking a dedicated Finance Officer to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards in our financial accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and Banking. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient financial administration services and effective cash management, working within strict deadlines to support the company's financial cycle and payroll timetable.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Register and allocate supplier invoices correctly and promptly using the Integra system, ensuring compliance with financial policies.
  • Manage the processing of sales and purchase invoices, e-bills, credit, and debit notes, ensuring accuracy and addressing any discrepancies or fraudulent activities.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of top supplier statements and resolve any arising issues.
  • Oversee the handling of banking transactions, including the secure collection and banking of cheques and cash.
  • Maintain a robust filing system and handle general office administration tasks such as scanning, photocopying, and email correspondence.
  • Ensure audit compliance by understanding accounting processes, resolving coding errors, and training customers to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage petty cash reconciliations and the petty cash imprest system, ensuring secure handling of cash and financial documents.
  • Process employee and director expense reimbursement forms in accordance with the Group’s Expenses Policy.
  • Handle internal and external Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable queries efficiently.
  • Assist in the annual audit process and support the finance team with ad hoc tasks as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills, with a strong grasp of financial accounting principles.
  • Proven experience working in an accounting department.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of the Integra accounting system or significant experience using a similar accounting system.
  • Desirable but not essential: Studying towards an Accounting Technician Qualification.
