Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant - Role Overview

As a Maths Graduate TA, you will play a key role in supporting students across KS3 and KS4, helping to raise attainment and confidence in mathematics. Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting students in Maths lessons on a 1:1 and small group basis
Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
Breaking down complex mathematical concepts into clear, engaging explanations
Delivering targeted interventions for students who need additional support
Stretching and challenging high-achieving students
Supporting with lesson preparation and resource creation
Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in lessons

Requirements

A degree in Mathematics or a related subject (Essential)
A strong desire to pursue a career in teaching
Excellent subject knowledge and confidence in Maths
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive, enthusiastic, and resilient approach
Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
