This role will work closely with a junior accountant to ensure accurate and timely financial records. While the day-to-day accounting is straightforward, the role requires someone capable of navigating historical complexities related to a past Management Buyout (MBO).Key Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance of the general ledger for a specific entity
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, particularly those related to historical MBO transactions
• Collaborate with the junior accountant to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Support audit and reporting requirements as needed

About You

• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting
• Experience working with legacy or complex historical accounting data is a plus
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Able to work collaboratively and support junior team members
