Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a welcoming and well-established Secondary School in Middleton as they look to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2026.

We are seeking only candidates who have previously worked within a UK secondary school setting. Applications from those without secondary experience cannot be considered for this role.

This is a full-time position beginning on 5th January 2026, continuing until the end of the academic year. You will be working alongside teaching staff to support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. Your responsibilities may include:

• Delivering targeted support to individuals and small groups

• Assisting with behaviour management and classroom routines

• Supporting pupils with additional needs

• Helping to prepare learning materials and resources

• Contributing to the wider school community when required

To be successful, you must:

• Have proven experience working in a secondary school

• Be confident supporting learners aged 11-16

• Have strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships

• Be proactive, reliable, and committed to improving pupil outcomes
