Are you an experienced Finance Assistant looking for a varied and hands-on role within a collaborative finance team? Our client, based in Castle Donington, is looking to appoint a Finance Assistant to support the Financial Controller and contribute to the smooth running of group finance operations across multiple business units.

About the Role:
As Finance Assistant, you'll play a key role within the Group Finance Department, supporting four business units. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid finance experience, particularly in purchase/sales ledgers and bank reconciliations, who enjoys a broad and busy role.

Key Responsibilities:

* Revenue recognition, including deferred income and accrual calculations

* Intercompany reconciliations and quarterly input to the Group intercompany system (IWS)

* Invoice processing and payment runs

* Statement reconciliations and daily bank reconciliations for multiple entities

* Processing bank payments

* Fuel cost allocation and recharges

* Consumables reconciliation and cost distribution

* Administration of insurance claims and related queries

* Support during internal and external audits

* Provide cover and assistance to the Accounts Payable Clerk

* General support across the finance team as required

About You:

* Previous experience in a similar finance role is essential

* Strong understanding of Purchase and Sales Ledgers and basic Payroll

* Confident communicator, able to partner with senior management and non-finance staff

* Detail-focused and customer-orientated, with a mindset for continuous improvement

* Proficient in Excel - including Pivot Tables, Lookups

* A positive, team-oriented attitude with a flexible, hands-on approach

Benefits & Hours:

* Salary up to £30,000 (DOE)

* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

* Working hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm (with a 1-hour lunch break)

* After probation, the ability to work from home 1 day a week
