A welcoming and community-driven primary school in Bedfordshire is seeking a dedicated and passionate KS1 Class Teacher to join its team from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position, ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about supporting young learners through their early years of primary education in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

About the Role

You will be joining a collaborative and experienced Key Stage 1 team committed to high-quality teaching, emotional wellbeing, and the development of the whole child. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced practitioners and confident Early Career Teachers.

Key responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering creative, well-structured lessons that support and challenge all pupils

Creating a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe and inspired to learn

*

Assessing pupil progress effectively and using data to inform next steps in teaching and learning

*

Building strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues to support children's development

*

Contributing to curriculum development and participating in school-wide events and initiatives

Person Specification

We are looking for a committed and reflective classroom practitioner who believes in high standards and inclusive practice.

The ideal candidate will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, either in training or in post

A solid understanding of the KS1 curriculum and age-appropriate teaching strategies

Effective behaviour management and a nurturing approach to pupil wellbeing

*

Excellent teamwork and communication skills

*

A growth mindset and commitment to ongoing professional development
