Do you have a strong background within the assembly/manufacturing sector? Are you able to demonstrate extensive knowledge and a proven track record within this? If so, we are looking for you!!!

We are looking to further strengthen a team for a key client of ours with a dedicated Assembly Team Leader/Manufacturing Team Leader who will be responsible to support the assembly technicians along with all elements of the production process to ensure deadlines are met.

You will be heavily involved with the co-ordination and planning of the daily team activities, delegating tasks as required. You will need to clearly communicate goals, expectations, and instructions and provide support, guidance, and mentoring to all technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

Production

* Implement and streamline manufacturing processes to ensure consistent, high-quality production

* Address production or team-related issues promptly to avoid disruption

* Monitor production timelines and promote efficient workflow

* Maintain strong communication with other teams in the business

* Drive continuous improvements using Lean/5S principles within the assembly area

Quality and Testing

* Ensure quality is upheld throughout assembly and production processes

* Conduct inspections of finished products and perform first‑off checks

* If required, carry out end‑of‑line testing in accordance with ILCT system requirements and complete quality/packing procedures

General

*

* Establish and maintain procedures to protect finished products and key components

* Highlight required engineering changes to management and collaborate on process improvements

* Ensure all health and safety processes are always followed

* Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by management

Key Qualities for the role:

* Ability and a track record of being able to manage a dynamic operation.

* Planning and organisational skills to be able manage, monitor and improve both the production processes and quality related activity and documentation.

* The ability to act decisively and solve staff or equipment-related problems expediently.

* IT literacy to be able to embrace various technologies and programmes.

* Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality.

* The ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet tight deadlines.

* The ability to work in a logical, systematic manner.

* 5s - Kanban - Kaizen - Lean manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
