Salary: £90 - £95 per day

Zest Education is working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Coventry, who are looking to appoint a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant from September 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a child with additional needs by providing consistent and tailored support.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN), such as autism, speech and language delay, ADHD, or global developmental delay
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support plans (EHCPs)
  • Help the pupil access the curriculum through differentiated activities
  • Support with social interaction, emotional regulation, and communication development
  • Use consistent behaviour strategies and visual resources
  • Maintain detailed records and contribute to review meetings

Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with children with SEN in a school or care setting

Patient, calm, and nurturing approach to supporting individual needs

Understanding of SEN strategies such as visual timetables, PECS, or Makaton (desirable)

Excellent communication with staff, pupils, and families

Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 TA or SEN certificate are advantageous

Willing to commit to the role for continuity and stability
