English Graduate to support Secondary students in Southend

Are you a recent English Graduate looking for some experience within a Secondary school?

***English Graduate for Southend school- ‘Outstanding’ school
***English Graduate with minimum 2:1 classification and strong A-levels and GCSE’s
***An English Graduate with experience working with young people is beneficial but not necessary
***Long-term, full-time role - NO day-to day or supply for talented English Graduate
***£65-£75 a day for English Graduate
***Amazing Teacher Training opportunities after first term of being Academic Mentor

The ideal applicant will possess strong subject knowledge of English language and literature (demonstrated in degrees and A-levels). It is extremely desirable if you have school-based experience, but any voluntary or indirect experience will be relevant as well (NCS, Summer camps etc.)

Responsibilities of English Graduate

>Taking pupils out for interventions and 1:1 session across GCSE and A-level
>Preparing the class and resources with the English Department
>Provide support in other subjects you are strong within (Media, Arts)

This school works closely each year with a range of graduates across the subjects, offering them the experience of working in their chosen department full time, developing your subject knowledge and gaining skills in such areas as behavior management. The school encourages all of the graduates working in their school to consider teacher training through their chosen routes if you feel that this is going to be the right career for you.
