Our client is a leading registration and events software company that work within the trade exhibition, consumer and conference market. They help deliver over 250 events a year and their solutions work online, mobile and onsite and at over 80 venues in the UK and abroad.
They are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Event Manager to join the team, who will be responsible for the delivery of our software and services. The successful candidate will be results focused, detail-orientated and driven to provide exceptional service to all customers through the implementation to achieve successful software and service delivery.
The client site is amongst a large business park, which houses many active social clubs, an on-site gym and a children's day nursery, as well as a restaurant and deli bar. There is generous car parking, pool bikes and bus links to Oxford, Wallingford, Henley and Reading.
The Event Manager will administer and manage the delivery of all software and services through the complete event life cycle from the end of the sales process to post event reporting. They will report to the Head of Operations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES OF EVENT MANAGER:
o Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers
o Building relationships and advise on best practices and solutions
o Project Management of event requirements
o Working with Account Managers and Logistics to ensure events are delivered effectively end to end
o Attending meetings internally and externally
o Working with databases, importing data and understanding GDPR requirements
o Liaising between departments internally and adhering to processes
o Coordinating web registration form requirements between customer and in-house development team
o Managing and coordinating badge printing and mail fulfilment
o Setting up and sending email broadcasts
o Providing statistics and setting up reports
o Liaising with suppliers to fulfill event consumables
o Complete handover notes for onsite managers
o Booking temporary staff for events
o Booking couriers, flights and hotels
o Handling queries via phone and email.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS OF EVENT MANAGER:
o Great interpersonal skills and telephone manner
o A good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
o Database experience advantageous
o Ability to multi-task within prescribed timeframes whilst working in a fast-paced environment.
