Family Law Solicitors
Our Client are a busy and well respected office who are seeking 2 enthusiastic and motivated lawyers to join a busy team.
The jobs are suitable for experienced family lawyers with a minimum of 2 years PQE - or the equivalent. While this might be a senior solicitor or legal executive, they are also happy to consider experienced paralegals who are able to run their own files without regular supervision.
The family work is 100% private client. As a result, the successful candidates will need solid experience with regard to divorce and in particular ancillary relief and pensions.
Experience of military divorce would be helpful - a significant part of the family team’s caseload is military divorce in which they have considerable specialist experience, for clients both locally and nationwide.
Experience in using a case management system for family law cases would also be useful, though not essential.
An enthusiasm for private children work in one of the successful candidates would also be useful.
The successful candidates
The right candidates will have;
- a minimum of at least 2 years’ experience of divorce and family law
- the ability to work unsupervised, as part of a team
- the confidence and the ability to react to change whilst working within a pressurised environment.
- good organisational and excellent IT skills
- a keen eye for detail
- excellent standards of client care and great communication skills
- the ability to be an excellent biller
- a desire and the ability to help in the growth of the firm
Part-time or full-time?
Ideally, they are looking for a full-time lawyer, although they are happy to consider part-time candidates with a minimum of three days per week.
The position of head of our family team is available for the right, senior and experienced candidate
Niche area of law?
As a firm, they are very keen on developing specialist niche areas of law. So, if you already have, or want to develop, a niche area of practice, they would love to hear about it.
They offer flexible working if required - many of their lawyers routinely worked from home, prior to the lockdown, for example.
They are more concerned with output than input - what they are really looking for is quality work, highly satisfied clients and great billing.
Market rate - dependent on the successful candidate’s qualification and experience
