Full-Time | Permanent | 40 Hours per WeekCirca £29723 per annum About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Assembly & Test Engineer to join a growing engineering and manufacturing organisation. This role will involve assembling mechanical systems, carrying out product testing, and ensuring products meet required quality and performance standards. You will play a key role in supporting production operations by building and validating mechanical assemblies in line with engineering specifications. Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble sub-assemblies and complete mechanical systems using engineering drawings, CAD models, and work instructions
  • Carry out mechanical assembly and testing activities in line with production schedules
  • Perform functional, performance, and environmental tests on products
  • Set up and operate test rigs, fixtures, and instrumentation
  • Identify and report product or material issues and support problem resolution
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with quality management systems
  • Ensure a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Welfare procedures
Requirements
  • Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly within a production or engineering environment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Well organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • A proactive approach to problem solving
